DELPHI Z0 PEAK EVENT

DELPHI Event r0039265e0004284

Cosmic Ray muon
The muon is seen as two back-to-back tracks in the TPC with minimum ionization in the hadron calorimeter. It is clearly identified as a cosmic by its offset in z along the beam axis. Notice that the upper track is split in two parts by the middle plane of the TPC. This shows that the event was out of time (in this case, late w.r.t. the beam crossing).
